Role Description The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring production and project plans to ensure timely execution of manufacturing activities. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with production, quality, and procurement teams, analyzing capacity and resource requirements, and updating schedules based on actual progress and constraints. The role also involves tracking project milestones, preparing reports for management, and implementing corrective actions to keep projects on schedule and within scope. The Planning Engineer will work closely with stakeholders to optimize workflows, reduce delays, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruchirappalli.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Planning and Production Planning skills to develop realistic schedules and align resources with project and manufacturing requirements.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Project Control capabilities to track performance, identify variances, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, present reports, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Relevant engineering degree (Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or equivalent) and experience in manufacturing or industrial projects are highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in planning and scheduling tools (such as MS Excel, ERP/MRP systems, or project management software) and knowledge of lean or continuous improvement methodologies are an advantage.
- Ability to work systematically, meet deadlines, and adapt to dynamic production environments while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
