Role Overview
The Planning Engineer will manage project planning and controls for Oil & Gas and Energy EPC projects. The role focuses on:
- Project scheduling
- Monitoring project progress
- Cost and budget control
- Risk management
- Reporting
- Proposal planning
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Level 3/Level 4 (L3/L4) project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Coordinate with project teams to establish project control procedures.
- Prepare and maintain:
- DCI (Document Control Index)
- MCI (Material Control Index)
- CCI (Construction Control Index)
- Monitor project progress and implement recovery plans for schedule delays.
- Track project budgets and perform variance analysis.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for stakeholders.
- Verify project data and ensure accurate reporting.
- Prepare planning schedules for new project proposals.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in Primavera P6
- Good working knowledge of MS Project
- EPC project planning experience

Suitable Background
This role is best suited for professionals with:
- 8–12 years of planning experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, or Energy EPC projects
- Experience in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning planning
- Good communication and analytical skills
