ROLE OVERVIEW
Responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities across construction projects. Supports effective
project execution by developing project schedules, tracking progress, identifying delays and risks, coordinating with project teams,
and ensuring timely delivery in line with approved timelines, budgets, and project objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and maintain project schedules by preparing baseline programmes, work breakdown structures, look-ahead plans,
resource plans, and recovery schedules in coordination with project stakeholders.
• Review project progress by collecting site updates, tracking planned versus actual performance, identifying delays, and
recommending corrective actions to achieve project milestones.
• Support the Project Manager in tracking project progress, identifying delays, monitoring risks, and driving timely closure of
issues that may impact project milestones. (Suggested addition based on your desired scope.)
• Coordinate with project, design, procurement, consultant, contractor, and site teams by following up on drawings, approvals,
materials, and pending actions that may impact project timelines.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports by analyzing project status, highlighting critical activities, delays, risks, recovery
plans, and key performance indicators for management review.
• Conduct schedule analysis by monitoring critical paths, float consumption, resource utilization, productivity trends, and project
constraints to support effective project decision-making.
• Maintain planning records, delay logs, action trackers, change records, and project dashboards to ensure accurate reporting
and effective project control.
• Organize and participate in project coordination meetings by tracking action items, following up with stakeholders, and
ensuring timely closure of pending items affecting project progress. (Suggested coordination-focused responsibility based on
the broader planning and coordination role.)
• Identify project risks and potential schedule impacts by evaluating design, procurement, contractor, and site-related
constraints and recommending mitigation measures.
• Review contractor work plans and schedules by assessing sequencing, resource allocation, and alignment with project
milestones and delivery requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2-4 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and project controls for hospitality, residential,
construction projects.
