About the role

Take the lead on implementing youth-focused projects which engage young people throughout Canada to advocate for positive social change and girls' rights locally, nationally and globally, with a primary focus on The Power Within initiative. Ensure safeguarding standards are met in all aspects of programming. Develop and execute a youth-friendly engagement strategy and lead the promotion of the online youth community platform to reach at least 800 young people. Support the development of thought leadership content (e.g. op-eds, podcasts, speaking engagements) for staff and youth participants as well as curating and posting engaging content on various platforms. Plan, coordinate and execute capacity building workshops and trainings for program participants while tracking participation numbers to meet project targets. Responsible for keeping up to date on best practices as it relates to youth leadership programming, meaningful youth engagement, alumni engagement, and stakeholder communications. Must have attention to detail who is able to meet deadlines and adhere to protocols and procedures. Maintain strong healthy working relationships with key stakeholders including partner organizations, corporate sponsors and youth engaged in projects. Prepare internal and external communications, resources and reports tailored to stakeholders Contribute towards the research and drafting of project concept notes, proposals, pitch decks, briefing notes, partnership agreements, monitoring and evaluation activities and other relevant documentation and activities Provide support, including administrative responsibilities, to other projects as needed Provide input into project charters and coordinate project activities involving internal potentially external resources Provide significant input into the development and implementation of project/ departmental operating plans This work will require work during evenings and weekends from time to time to accommodate the schedules of youth participants
