Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and industry-connected Placement Officer to drive campus placements for BCA, MCA, and MSc Computer Science students. The role focuses on building strong recruiter relationships and executing high-quality placement drives, ensuring students are matched with relevant opportunities in the IT and technology sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain partnerships with IT companies, tech firms, and startups for placements and internships
- Plan and execute on-campus and off-campus recruitment drives end-to-end
- Coordinate with recruiters on job requirements, hiring processes, and timelines
- Identify and shortlist suitable candidates based on role fit and technical background
- Manage student communication, drive registrations, and participation tracking
- Ensure seamless execution of assessments, interviews, and offer rollouts
- Act as the primary liaison between students, faculty, and recruiters
- Maintain accurate placement data, reports, and recruiter databases
- Collaborate with academic teams to align student profiles with market opportunities

- 📊 Placement Rate (%) for BCA/MCA/MSc CS cohorts
- 🏢 Number of Active Recruiters engaged (new + repeat companies)
- 🤝 Number of Placement Drives conducted per year
- 💼 Quality of Offers (CTC benchmarks, role relevance, core IT roles)
- 🎯 Student-to-Offer Conversion Ratio
- ⏱️ Drive Execution Efficiency (timely scheduling & completion)
- 📈 Growth in IT/Tech Recruiter Network
- 📋 Accuracy & Timeliness of Placement Reports/Data
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Education, Computer Science, or related fields
- Experience in campus placements, preferably for IT/Computer Science programs
- Strong network with IT recruiters and technology companies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to organize and execute recruitment drives efficiently
- Understanding of IT roles and hiring requirements (development, testing, analytics, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with placement tools, applicant tracking, and coordination workflows
