Position Overview:
The Head of Placements & Corporate Engagement will lead the university’s placement, internship, and corporate engagement initiatives. The role involves designing and executing a structured career development framework, building a strong internal and external engagement team, and ensuring students are equipped with the skills, guidance, and opportunities to achieve their career aspirations.
Terms of Engagement:
- Quarterly on-campus presence at Vidyashilp University for team and student engagement.
- Regular daily virtual meetings with internal teams and program coordinators.
- Facilitation of corporate connect programs for internships and placements.
- Assessment of training and technology needs for batches and planning interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Team & System Development:
- Build and manage a full-time team for corporate and internal engagement.
- Establish Learning & Development (L&D) systems and frameworks for all programs.
- Design program-wise and year-wise student development plans.
Student Profiling & Training:
- Conduct batch pre-assessment of skills, interests, and career goals.
- Deliver L&D sessions for final-year students; organize select sessions for 1st & 2nd-year students.
- Organize industry talks, webinars, and motivational sessions for all batches.
- Facilitate capstone projects and internships for 2nd & 3rd-year students.
- Provide personalized interview training and placement preparation for final-year students.
Corporate Engagement & Placements:
- Develop corporate tie-ups and placement opportunities for students.
- Prepare and share batch profiles and resumes with recruiters.
- Plan and manage pre-placement talks, placement timelines, and process announcements.
- Coordinate startup fairs, outreach, and mentorship programs for entrepreneurial students.
Student Support & Counseling:
- Conduct counseling sessions for higher studies, placements, and startup guidance.
- Facilitate higher education preparation tie-ups based on student interests.
- Mentor students throughout career planning, skill development, and placement processes.
Reporting & Media Engagement:
- Prepare detailed placement reports and circulate them to media and stakeholders.
- Track progress, milestones, and placement outcomes for all batches.
- Create and mentor student councils and placement committees for ongoing initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 12–18 years of experience in placements, corporate engagement, or career services; leadership experience preferred.
- Proven experience in student career development, corporate tie-ups, and placement strategy execution.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong networking and corporate relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication, mentorship, and interpersonal abilities.
- Strategic planning, project management, and team leadership capabilities.
- Familiarity with employability skill development, assessment tools, and industry trends.
