Role Description The Placement Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, responsible for driving employment outcomes for program participants. This role includes building and maintaining strong relationships with employers, identifying job opportunities, and matching suitable candidates to relevant openings. The Placement Manager will coordinate placement activities, organize job fairs and recruitment drives, and prepare participants through resume support, interview coaching, and career counseling. The role involves tracking placement data, preparing reports, and working closely with training teams to align curricula with market needs. The Placement Manager will also collaborate with partner organizations and internal stakeholders to strengthen industry linkages and enhance the overall effectiveness of placement programs.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in placement coordination, recruitment, or talent acquisition, with a focus on matching candidate profiles to employer requirements.
- Proven ability to build and manage employer networks, corporate partnerships, and industry relationships in diverse sectors.
- Skills in career counseling, candidate mentoring, and conducting workshops on employability skills such as interview preparation and professional communication.
- Competence in data tracking, documentation, and reporting related to placements, outcomes, and employer feedback.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in local languages of Tamil Nadu is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple stakeholders and placement drives simultaneously.
- Demonstrated commitment to social impact, inclusion, and working with beneficiaries from diverse backgrounds, including youth, women, PwD, LGBTQ+, and marginalized communities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Management, Human Resources, Education, or a related field; relevant experience in NGO or skills development sectors is highly desirable.
- Comfort with using digital tools (spreadsheets, CRM or MIS systems, online job portals) to manage placement processes and maintain accurate records.
