We are seeking a Senior PL/SQL Developer to support and enhance a large, database‑centric monolithic B2C application. This role involves evaluating existing database components for performance, reliability, and scalability, and designing improvements that strengthen the application’s operational efficiency. The developer will also implement new features, business rules, and data‑driven logic within existing modules. As part of the organization’s modernization journey, this role offers opportunities to learn and contribute to event‑driven architectures, microservices integration, and modern technology stacks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze existing PL/SQL code, stored procedures, packages, triggers, and data models to assess performance and identify optimization opportunities.
• Design and implement enhancements to improve query performance, data processing efficiency, and overall system stability.
• Develop new features and business rules within the existing databasedriven architecture, ensuring accuracy, maintainability, and backward compatibility.
• Collaborate with application developers, architects, business analysts, and QA teams to translate functional requirements into robust database solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform rootcause analysis, and implement longterm corrective actions.
• Refactor legacy SQL and PL/SQL components to improve readability, maintainability, and performance.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Support integration efforts as the application evolves toward eventdriven and microservicesbased architectures.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for database development and optimization.
• Document database structures, logic flows, and system changes for longterm maintainability.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of handson experience with PL/SQL, including stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and performance tuning.
• Strong SQL optimization skills, including query analysis, indexing strategies, and execution plan interpretation.
• Experience working with large, complex, monolithic applications and highvolume transactional systems.
• Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into efficient database logic.
• Solid understanding of relational database design, normalization, and data modeling.
• Experience with version control, SDLC processes, and enterprise change management.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to work independently in a fastpaced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to modernization concepts such as eventdriven architecture, microservices, or APIbased integration.
• Familiarity with cloud databases, distributed systems, or data streaming technologies.
• Experience with performance monitoring tools (e.g., AWR, ASH, OEM).
• Background in B2C or hightraffic consumerfacing applications.
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid development environments.
