About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Camera Image Tuning Engineer to drive image quality across next-generation camera products, including extreme low-light color night vision, HDR, spotlight-assisted imaging, and IR-based modes.
This role spans battery and non-battery products across multiple segments and involves end-to-end ownership-from sensor bring-up to mass production. You will work closely with the IQ lead while owning image quality for specific products or programs.

Role Overview
- Own end-to-end image quality tuning for assigned products, from bring-up through production
- Tune ISP blocks such as AE, AWB, CCM, Gamma, HDR, LDC, and Day/Night modes (including IR and spotlight scenarios)
- Identify image artifacts and perform root-cause analysis across the ISP pipeline, working with ISP/firmware teams to drive improvements
- Optimize IQ for real-world constraints
- Align tuning with system-level requirements, including :
- Validate tuning performance across real-world scenarios and correlate with lab characterization
- Support sensor and lens evaluation/selection, working with vendors
- Drive IQ through productization (DVT/PVT), including calibration and field issue resolution
Ownership & Stakeholder Interaction
- Act as a key image quality interface with global teams, including product teams, R&D teams, and CM/ODM partners across regions (USA, Taiwan, Vietnam)
- Drive IQ alignment with manufacturing partners for calibration, tuning setup, and mass production readiness
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of image sensors, optics, ISP pipeline, and color science
- Hands-on experience in tuning AE, AWB, CCM, Gamma, HDR, LDC, and low-light/IR scenarios
- Deep understanding of IQ metrics, artifacts, and tuning trade-offs
Tools & Exposure
- Experience with Imatest, X-Rite/Macbeth, and controlled lighting setups
- Exposure to optics, lens selection, and wide FoV systems
- Familiarity with video codecs (H.264/H.265), streaming, or embedded Linux is a plus
