Job Summary

As a Finance Intern with the Pittsburgh Pirates, you will gain valuable experience with our Finance Department. In this role you will gain knowledge in the Finance & Accounting Field while providing support through various projects and tasks.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain detailed subsidiary ledgers for various department expense accounts.
2. Assist with assorted MLB reporting requirements.
3. Review documentation to ensure policy compliance.
4. Assist with invoice and other data entry.
5. Analyze financial variances from budget and prior year.
6. Assist with bank reconciliations and transaction reviews.
7. Compile necessary documentation as requested by department supervisors.
8. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

1. Authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
2. Candidates majoring in Accounting, Finance, or related areas.  
3. Must be in a Degree-Seeking Program at Junior, Senior or Graduate level.

Desired:

1. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
