Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Piping Stress Engineer, located in Bengaluru South. The Piping Stress Engineer will be responsible for performing stress analysis for piping systems, ensuring regulatory and safety compliance, and working collaboratively with the design team. The role involves preparing technical reports, analyzing flexibility and support systems, and coordinating with project teams for seamless execution.
Qualifications
- Piping stress analysis skills, including experience with CAESAR II and Autopipe software.
- Knowledge of international codes and standards such as ASME, API, and other relevant guidelines.
- Expertise in analyzing stress factors, flexibility, and thermal expansion of piping systems.
- Familiarity with material selection, design codes, and failure analysis related to piping systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Prior experience in oil and gas, offshore, or onshore pipeline projects is a significant advantage.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 to 15 years of experience in piping stress analysis, preferably in water/wastewater
infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in stress analysis tools such as CAESAR II, Rohr2, or Autopipe.
Solid understanding of pipe support design, allowable stresses, material properes, and
flexibility analysis.
Knowledge of water piping systems, including HDPE, DI, SS, and carbon steel pipelines.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
