Role Description This full-time on-site Piping Engineer role is based in Jamnagar. The Piping Engineer will design, review, and optimize piping systems for industrial projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications. Daily responsibilities include preparing and checking engineering calculations, developing piping layouts and isometrics, coordinating pipe routing with other disciplines, and supporting stress analysis activities. The role involves creating and updating technical documentation, collaborating with project managers and construction teams, and resolving technical issues during design, procurement, and installation. The Piping Engineer will also participate in design reviews, support project planning, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Piping Design and Piping system layout, including practical understanding of Pipe routing and fittings.
- Candidates should possess solid capabilities in engineering Calculations and Stress Analysis for piping systems, including familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of materials selection and piping components, as well as experience interpreting P&IDs and engineering drawings.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with piping design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, 3D modeling tools, stress analysis applications) and general MS Office tools.
- Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Candidates should possess strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively on-site with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Relevant experience in industrial or oil and gas projects, familiarity with safety practices, and exposure to construction and commissioning activities are beneficial.
