Job Summary
Under direct supervision, performs tasks in one or more functional areas (Warehousing, Saw/CNC, Fab, Assembly, Glazing, Bunking, Panels, Break Metal). Focuses on learning and applying foundational skills while complying with safety and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Skills:
- Demonstrates basic job knowledge.
- Actively seeks opportunities to learn new skills.
Production:
- Participates in training and retains instructions.
- Meets productivity expectations for entry-level experience.
Quality:
- Shows attention to detail and pride in work.
Safety:
- Follows all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- Works to prevent accidents and unsafe working conditions.
Problem Solving:
- Begins developing problem-solving skills.
- Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to learn measuring tools and read blueprints.
- Able to follow directions and work under pressure.
- Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- Willing to work overtime when necessary to meet production requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and /or walk for the duration of the scheduled shift (at least 10 hours).
- Ability to periodically work overtime to support the cyclical nature of the business (may entail a shift longer than 10 hours).
- Ability to squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift. Must be able to push and pull up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 30 lbs. frequently, up to 50 lbs. occasionally and over 50 lbs. with a two-person lift.
- Exposure to noise and moderate but varying temperatures, humidity and other elements in warehouse environments.
