Position Overview
The Front of the House Manager is responsible for leading a team of servers to deliver an outstanding dining experience with high-quality, nutritious meals.
You will ensure all dining services meet standards set by the Indiana State Department of Health and Pines Village quality expectations, while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Nutrition Services.
Schedule
- Full-time, exempt position
- Typical hours: Sunday through Thursday 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Occasional flexibility may be needed for special events or operational needs
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and supervise a team of servers to deliver exceptional service
- Ensure dining rooms are prepared and maintained to the highest standards
- Create staff schedules and maintain appropriate staffing levels
- Hire, train, and evaluate dining team members
- Address resident feedback to ensure satisfaction and continuous improvement
- Oversee daily dining operations and assist during peak service times
- Manage scheduling, timesheet approvals, and dining service billing processes
- Maintain compliance with state health regulations and company standards
- Coordinate meetings, events, and room set-ups
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior supervisory experience in dining, hospitality, or food service
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with scheduling, team management, and customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain)
- Valid Indiana driver’s license and proof of insurance
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
