We are currently seeking a dependable and compassionate Line Cook to join our Dining Services team. If you enjoy preparing quality meals, working in a team-focused environment, and making a positive difference in the lives of others, we would love to meet you.
Position Summary
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of nutritious meals for residents according to daily menus and recipes. This position works closely with the dining team to create a welcoming and positive dining experience for residents and guests while maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation.
Responsibilities Include
- Preparing soups, entrees, side dishes, and other menu items
- Following recipes, portion guidelines, and daily meal tallies
- Maintaining proper food safety and sanitation standards
- Assisting with food prep, including cutting vegetables, preparing meats, and organizing ingredients
- Properly labeling and storing food items
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Working collaboratively with the dining team to ensure excellent resident service
- Supporting special events and community dining functions
- Operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of prior cooking or kitchen experience preferred
- SERV Safe Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment preferred
- Ability to work independently and follow procedures with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-conscious
- Passion for serving older adults with kindness and respect
