JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is to install, test, and repair electronic systems including fire alarm, video surveillance, access control and structured cabling systems in commercial, institutional, and industrial environments.
- Ensure a safe job site, maintaining compliance with company safety standards
- Work in a team environment, seeking to understand best practices for quality installations
- Install pathway, raceway and cabling in new or existing buildings
- Installation of low voltage system devices, i.e. fire alarm, cameras, readers, etc..
- Termination and testing of low voltage cabling
- Communicate progress of work, delivery, and implementation
- Analyze blueprints effectively for job site knowledge
- Analyze upcoming tasks and anticipates equipment, procedures and training
- Accurately complete required paperwork
- Travel to various jobsite locations, overnight stays may be required-Per Diem will be paid to cover expenses

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license-must be 18 years old
- Submit to pre-employment background and drug testing
- Previous experience with construction or mechanical work i.e. automotive repair, residential construction, or general assembly is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills - verbal, written and listening
- Computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel is preferred
- Demonstrate interest in electronic or electrical systems
- Union participation is required-International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 388
SCHEDULE:
June through September Monday to Friday 1st Shift, 5 days/8hrs per day or 4 days/10hrs days-Start times vary however typical is 6:00AM-Full time-long term potential
WAGE
$20.00 to $22.00 per hour plus travel and per diem
