Role: SDE2 - Frontend Engineer

What you will do (responsibilities): 

We are looking for experienced individual contributor to work along with designers and  engineers to build and iterate on our web application. 

1. Design, develop and maintain Pictory web application 
2. Write coherent, tested, organized, and performant code in React and JavaScript while integrating REST APIs 
3. Support existing React and JavaScript code with bug fixes and enhancements 
4. Ensure the performance, and responsiveness of the applications 
5. Participate in front-end web design with product and UI/UX team 
6. Advice engineering and business stakeholders on best practices, compatibility issues, and tradeoffs 
7. Perform peer reviews on team members code and provide feedback to ensure quality and coding standards are met 
8. Provide level 3 support when escalations are raised to the engineering team, ensuring issues are resolved promptly 

What we are looking for (qualifications and skills): 

You are a senior IC who has experience of working with designers back-end developers and product managers. You value constant learning and enjoy creating world-class web  applications. 

1. 8+ years of hands-on experience in developing scalable and secure web applications using HTML5, CSS, React, and JavaScript 
2. Experience of developing SaaS applications, preferably in video and media domain 
3. Strong understanding and experience with React.js workflows, such as Redux 
4. Highly proficient in JavaScript Document Object Model 
5. Experience of working on NextJS, TypeScript, Webpack and Babel 
6. Strong understanding of HTML5 and CSS
7. Strong understanding and hands-on experience in integrating with backend REST  APIs 
8. Good understanding of UX design principles 
9. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
10. Solid understanding of front-end performance optimization techniques
