Role Description This is a full-time, Piano, and or Keyboard, Teacher role located in the D03/D05 Area. The teacher will deliver individual and small-group lessons, preparing students of varying ages and skill levels in piano, keyboard, and violin performance. Daily responsibilities include planning lesson materials, teaching music theory and technique, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The role involves designing practice routines, preparing students for exams, recitals, and performances, and maintaining accurate records of attendance and achievement. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, communicate regularly with parents or guardians, and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Music Performance piano , and or keyboard with the ability to demonstrate proper technique and expressive playing.
- Solid understanding of Music Theory and general Music knowledge to teach scales, harmony, rhythm, and notation clearly.
- Experience in Music Education, including lesson planning, curriculum development, and assessment of student progress.
- Proficiency in teaching piano and keyboard, with the ability to adapt methods for different age groups and learning styles.
- Formal music training (diploma, degree, or equivalent certifications) preferred; performance or teaching credentials are an advantage.
- Effective communication and classroom management skills, with a patient, encouraging, and student-centered approach.
- Ability to work -in the Area and maintain a consistent full-time teaching schedule.
- Experience preparing students for music exams, competitions, or recitals is beneficial.
