Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physiotherapist (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) role based at Apollo Cradle Greater Noida. The physiotherapist will assess and treat individuals requiring obstetric and gynecological physiotherapy, including antenatal and postnatal patients, and those recovering from gynecological surgeries. Daily responsibilities include conducting detailed physical assessments, designing individualized exercise and rehabilitation plans, and providing education on posture, pelvic floor health, pain management, and safe movement. The role involves close collaboration with obstetricians, gynecologists, nurses, and other allied health professionals to ensure integrated patient care, maintaining accurate documentation, and participating in patient education programs and clinical quality initiatives. The physiotherapist is expected to follow hospital protocols, support infection control practices, and contribute to a positive, respectful, and inclusive patient experience.
Qualifications
- Recognized Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution, with registration or eligibility to register with relevant professional bodies.
- Clinical experience in women’s health, obstetrics and gynecology, or related physiotherapy specialties, preferably in a hospital or maternity care setting.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, therapeutic exercise prescription, manual therapy, and rehabilitation planning for antenatal and postnatal conditions.
- Ability to educate patients and families on safe exercises, ergonomics, pelvic floor care, breathing techniques, and recovery after gynecological procedures.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and engage sensitively with diverse patient populations.
- Solid documentation and organizational skills, including maintaining treatment records, following clinical protocols, and managing time efficiently.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and participation in training, audits, and clinical improvement activities.
- Flexibility to work in a hospital environment, including shifts as required, and adherence to safety, ethical, and professional standards.
