Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physiotherapist role based at RheumaCARE in Kollam. The Physiotherapist will assess patients with rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions, perform detailed physical evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with medical diagnoses and functional goals. Daily responsibilities include delivering evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, supervising exercise programs, providing patient education on pain management and lifestyle modification, and monitoring progress with appropriate outcome measures. The role involves close collaboration with rheumatologists and other specialists, documenting care accurately in clinical records, and participating in multidisciplinary case discussions. The Physiotherapist is also expected to contribute to protocol development, follow clinic quality and safety standards, and support patient-centric initiatives and research activities when required.
Qualifications
- Recognized Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (BPT/MPT), with registration in good standing with the appropriate professional council.
- Clinical experience in musculoskeletal, orthopedic, or rheumatology-focused physiotherapy, preferably in a multidisciplinary or specialty clinic setting.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, treatment planning, and delivery of manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and electrotherapy modalities.
- Ability to design and supervise individualized and group rehabilitation programs targeting pain reduction, mobility restoration, strength, and functional independence.
- Effective communication and counseling skills to educate and motivate patients and families regarding condition understanding, self-management, and adherence.
- Comfort working within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating respectfully with physicians, nurses, psychologists, and allied health professionals.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation, basic use of electronic medical records, and maintenance of accurate, confidential patient records.
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and openness to integrating new protocols and research findings into care.
