About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Pediatric Physiotherapist specialized in Neurology to join a leading healthcare team in Delhi. In this role, you will lead the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children with various neuro-developmental, congenital, and acquired neurological conditions. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in pediatric rehabilitation, a deep understanding of neuro-developmental treatment (NDT), and the ability to mentor junior therapists while collaborating seamlessly with a multidisciplinary clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessment & Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients to evaluate motor skills, functional limitations, and neurological impairments. Develop tailored, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Specialized Interventions: Administer specialized therapies, including Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT), sensory integration therapy, and gross/fine motor skill training for conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Muscular Dystrophy, and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
- Patient & Family Education: Educate parents and caregivers on home-care strategies, therapeutic exercises, and the use of adaptive equipment to ensure continuity of care.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with pediatricians, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and special educators to ensure a holistic approach to patient rehabilitation.
- Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior physiotherapists and clinical interns, sharing best practices in neuro-pediatric care.
- Progress Tracking: Maintain meticulous clinical documentation, track patient progress, and adjust treatment protocols as necessary to optimize functional outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational Background: Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) in Neurology is strictly required.
- Experience: Proven clinical experience working exclusively or primarily with pediatric populations.
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in neurological rehabilitation techniques, early intervention strategies, and postural control management.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional patience, empathy, and communication skills tailored for interacting with children and their families.
- Licensure: Valid registration with the relevant Physiotherapy Council.
