About the Role
Kaalcāri is hiring a Physiotherapist (MPT or BPT) with a strong interest in diagnosis, gait assessment, biomechanics, and functional movement evaluation. MPT and BPT freshers with relevant clinical experience are encouraged to apply.
This role is designed for professionals who are passionate about assessing movement patterns, interpreting gait outcomes, and recommending evidence-based solutions such as corrective footwear, support insoles, and offloading strategies to improve mobility and comfort.
A key part of this role is contributing to R&D and product development. You will identify recurring patterns across customer assessments, support and evaluate product prototypes, and provide structured clinical feedback that directly influences the performance, comfort, and effectiveness of Kaalcāri's footwear and foot wellness solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Diagnosis & Functional Assessment (Primary Focus)
- Conduct structured customer assessments based on medical history, lifestyle, footwear habits, activity levels, and functional limitations.
- Perform movement observation and screening for posture, gait deviations, weight distribution, balance, and lower-limb alignment.
- Identify support requirements and common concerns such as instability, fatigue, pressure hotspots, and strain patterns.
- Recommend appropriate corrective footwear, support insoles, and offloading strategies based on assessment findings.
- Maintain a standardized assessment process to ensure consistent and reliable outcomes.
2. Gait Test Execution & Report Interpretation
- Conduct gait assessments using Kaalcāri's gait analysis tools and clinical protocols.
- Ensure accurate setup, positioning, calibration, and data capture.
- Interpret gait reports and communicate findings in a structured and easy-to-understand manner.
- Educate customers on wear protocols, adaptation periods, and product usage to maximize outcomes.
- Document assessment findings for future follow-ups and progress tracking.
3. Offloading Guidance & Corrective Recommendations
- Recommend practical offloading solutions based on gait analysis and pressure distribution.
- Assist customers in selecting the most appropriate footwear and insole configuration.
- Conduct fit evaluations, comfort trials, and product validation.
- Provide post-purchase guidance and follow-up support to improve long-term outcomes.
4. R&D Support (High Priority – Product Development & Innovation)
- This is a core responsibility of the role. Your clinical observations will directly influence the design and improvement of Kaalcāri products.
- Identify recurring patterns across gait assessments and customer feedback.
- Participate in prototype evaluations and structured product testing.
- Assess comfort, stability, pressure redistribution, durability, and functional performance.
- Document findings in a structured format highlighting strengths, limitations, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support product benchmarking, validation studies, and iterative product development.
- Collaborate closely with the product design and engineering teams to refine assessment frameworks and recommendation protocols.
Skills & Requirements
- MPT or BPT (Freshers with relevant clinical exposure are encouraged to apply).
- Strong understanding of biomechanics, posture, gait analysis, and lower-limb function.
- Ability to interpret movement patterns and recommend evidence-based solutions.
- Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
- Comfortable working in an on-ground clinical and retail environment.
- Basic documentation skills using Google Sheets and digital reporting tools.
- Strong willingness to learn and contribute to research and product innovation.
