Role Description The Physician Assistant role at SKILLforge Solutions’ client site in Chennai is a full-time, on-site position supporting high-quality patient care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The role involves ordering and interpreting tests as appropriate, developing and implementing treatment plans, prescribing medications in accordance with local regulations, and providing patient education on diagnoses, medications, and follow-up care. The Physician Assistant will also document clinical encounters accurately in medical records, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care, and adhere to all clinical protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Relevant clinical training and licensure as a Physician Assistant, with strong skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Demonstrated ability to perform physical examinations, assist in procedures, and manage routine and urgent clinical situations safely and effectively.
- Proficiency in medical documentation, use of electronic health records, and clear written recording of patient histories and care plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for counseling patients, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
- Sound knowledge of clinical guidelines, infection control practices, and regulatory standards governing healthcare delivery.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced on-site clinical environment in Coimbatore, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple patient needs.
- Commitment to continuous learning, openness to new clinical practices and technologies, and a proactive approach to professional development.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or an equivalent recognized program; prior experience in hospital or clinic settings is preferred.
