Role Description The Physician Assistant – Neurology at MediVaah will support neurologists in providing comprehensive neurological care to patients in an on-site setting in Bengaluru. This full-time role includes conducting detailed patient histories, performing focused neurological examinations, interpreting basic diagnostic tests, and assisting in the development and documentation of care plans. The role involves monitoring treatment progress, providing patient and family education on neurological conditions and medications, and coordinating follow-up care. The Physician Assistant will collaborate closely with neurologists and other healthcare professionals, maintain accurate medical records, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory standards. The position also includes participation in case discussions, quality improvement activities, and ongoing clinical learning in neurology.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong clinical skills in patient assessment, neurological examination, and care planning.
- Candidates should possess skills in medical documentation, electronic health record (EHR) use, and maintaining accurate clinical notes.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills for patient education, family counseling, and team collaboration.
- Candidates should possess skills in critical thinking, clinical decision-making, and problem-solving in acute and chronic neurological conditions.
- Candidates should possess professional integrity, empathy, and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent, with valid registration/licensure as applicable in India.
- Prior experience in neurology or related specialties (e.g., internal medicine, critical care) is highly beneficial.
- Willingness to work on-site in Bengaluru and participate in flexible schedules as required for patient care.
- Familiarity with Indian healthcare practices, clinical guidelines, and infection control standards is an advantage.
