Role Description The Physical Education Teacher will work on-site at Majlis English Medium School in Kasaragod in a full-time capacity. The role involves planning and delivering age-appropriate physical education lessons aligned with CBSE and school guidelines for students from kindergarten to Grade XII. The teacher will organize and supervise sports activities, practices, and competitions, ensuring safe participation and promoting physical fitness and teamwork. Daily responsibilities include assessing student performance, maintaining attendance and progress records, managing equipment and facilities, and collaborating with other educators to integrate physical education into the broader curriculum. The Physical Education Teacher will also support co-curricular sports events, encourage inclusive participation, and contribute to the school’s focus on holistic development and good conduct.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Physical Education and Sports Coaching to plan, instruct, and supervise a variety of physical activities and sports.
- Experience in Curriculum Development and Education to design structured, age-appropriate PE programs aligned with CBSE and NCERT guidelines.
- Proven Teaching skills, including classroom management, student assessment, and the ability to motivate and engage learners of different age groups.
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field; B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of child and adolescent physical development, health, and safety practices, including injury prevention and basic first aid.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and families.
- Experience organizing sports events or tournaments in a school setting is an advantage.
- Commitment to inclusive practices, value-based education, and fostering discipline, teamwork, and respect among students.
