Role Description
We are hiring a Physical Design Lead for a full-time, on-site position located in Bengaluru South. The Physical Design Lead will oversee and drive all aspects of physical design implementation, including floor planning, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS), routing, and physical verification. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams for design closure, power optimization, and ensuring compliance with timing, power, and area budgets. This role involves leading technical teams, reviewing design methodologies, and providing high-quality deliverables for ASIC/SoC designs.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in physical design activities, including floor planning, placement, CTS, routing, and optimization
- Strong expertise in physical verification tasks such as DRC, LVS, and post-layout timing analysis
- Proficiency in CAD tools relevant to physical design, such as Synopsys ICC, Cadence Innovus, or Mentor Calibre
- Good understanding of power planning, power analysis, and strategies for low-power designs
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to debug complex design challenges
- Strong communication and leadership abilities for managing and guiding technical teams
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Relevant experience in semiconductor or VLSI design is highly preferred
