About the Role
We are seeking a PHP Laravel Developer Intern to support the development and enhancement of an existing application. The role involves working on a live codebase, contributing to backend development, and improving application performance and scalability. This opportunity is suited for candidates with hands-on project experience who are looking to gain exposure to real-world development environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on an existing Laravel-based application and implement new features
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in development and production environments
- Improve backend performance and scalability
- Design and optimize database queries using MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs
- Implement caching strategies where required
- Collaborate with frontend and product teams for seamless integration
- Follow Git-based workflows, including branching and pull requests
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
Required Skills
- Working knowledge of PHP and Laravel framework
- Understanding of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with REST APIs and backend development principles
- Basic experience with Git version control
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to caching mechanisms such as Redis
- Experience with testing frameworks such as PHPUnit
- Understanding of performance optimization techniques
