Job Summary
Shriram General Insurance is looking for a talented PHP Developer to develop and maintain web-based applications and backend services that support the company’s digital platforms. The role involves building scalable solutions, integrating APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-performance and reliable systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain web applications and backend services using PHP.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs to support internal and external applications.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and product teams to implement application features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing applications.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development practices.
- Ensure proper database design and data management for web applications.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in PHP and web application development.
- Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web development principles.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with MVC architecture and modern development practices.
- Experience working with cloud platforms or hosting environments.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based development environments.
