A Day in the Life
As a PHP Developer for the Zifup project, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the backend systems that power our applications. A typical day might involve:
• Architecting and scaling robust APIs and backend services using clean, modular PHP.
• Diving deep into MySQL to dissect slow-running queries, restructure tables, and implement advanced indexing strategies.
• Managing server infrastructure, configuring DNS, monitoring server logs, and setting up CRON jobs on a LAMP stack.
• Exploring cutting-edge integrations, such as bridging our backend data processing with Large Language Models (LLMs) to make our services smarter.
Key Responsibilities
• Write clean, secure, test-driven, easily maintainable, and modular code.
• Develop and maintain cutting-edge web applications using PHP, integrating seamlessly with front-end applications.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure the security and scalability of our services.
• Evaluate project requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Produce and maintain clear software documentation.
• Stay abreast of new trends and best practices in web development.
Essential Requirements
• Education: B.Tech or B.Eng preferred.
• PHP Engineering (2 to 6 years): Thorough experience with core PHP, data types, arrays, forms, file handling, cookies, sessions, and JSON. We value pragmatic, highly performant code over rigid paradigms.
• Advanced MySQL: Proven experience writing complex yet highly optimized MySQL queries. You must understand relational design and database performance at scale.
• Front-End Integration: Complete understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Highly proficient with the Bootstrap framework.
• Infrastructure & DevOps: Strong understanding of LAMP Server environments, cron jobs, user management, server logs, and DNS configurations.
• Version Control & CI/CD: Solid grasp of code versioning tools (such as Git) and deployment automation (CI/CD Tools).
• Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly for technical documentation.
Brownie Points (Nice to Have)
• Experience building and maintaining applications using the Laravel framework.
• AI Integration: You have tinkered with or integrated Large Language Models (like OpenAI, Claude, or local models via Ollama) into real-world applications or workflows.
