About The Role
We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer with 3–4 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in both frontend and backend PHP development, with a proven track record of migrating applications from older PHP versions to newer, more secure and efficient versions. This role involves developing, enhancing, and modernizing PHP-based web applications, primarily utilizing frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter. The developer will play a crucial role in creating responsive, user-friendly interfaces while ensuring optimal performance, security, and maintainability of our applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–4 years of professional experience in PHP development, with a strong understanding of both frontend and backend technologies.
- Proficiency in PHP frameworks such as Laravel and CodeIgniter.
- Experience with PHP version migration, refactoring legacy code, and resolving compatibility issues.
- Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and templating engines.
- Hands-on experience with API integrations, form handling, validation, authentication, and authorization.
- Familiarity with database management using MySQL.
- Understanding of DevOps practices including Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and basic AWS services.
- Exposure to Node.js for frontend tooling or backend services is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain PHP-based web applications using frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter.
- Translate wireframes and UI/UX designs into responsive, intuitive user interfaces.
- Optimize application performance through code refactoring, performance tuning, and best practices.
- Upgrade legacy PHP applications to newer PHP versions, ensuring compatibility and security.
- Implement and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless integration with third-party services.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Apply security best practices to safeguard applications against vulnerabilities.
- Utilize version control systems such as Git to manage codebase effectively.
- Assist in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and basic AWS cloud services.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve development processes.
