Phota is building the personalization layer for visual GenAI. We started with identity preservation for image editing and generation: letting developers create and edit images of real people while keeping them unmistakably recognizable.
We’re looking for a founding GTM lead to help turn that early pull into a repeatable, high-leverage API business.
You will work directly with the founders to find the sharpest markets, close design partners and customers, shape packaging and pricing, build developer-facing motion, and turn messy early demand into a scalable GTM engine.
What you’ll do
- Own early GTM for Phota API across developers, AI startups, creative platforms, avatar/video companies, and visual AI products.
- Identify high-value verticals where identity preservation is urgent, including AI headshots, avatars, personalized video, marketing assets, product photography, and creative tools.
- Run founder-style outbound: find the right companies, reach technical and business buyers, understand their workflows, and convert interest into customer conversations.
- Lead customer development from first call through technical evaluation, integration, pricing, launch, and expansion.
- Work directly with founders to shape positioning, ICP, pricing, packaging, and partner strategy.
- Build vertical-specific pitches, demo flows, customer case studies, outbound sequences, integration guides, and objection-handling materials.
- Turn early customer wins into repeatable GTM motions and credible market proof.
Who you are
- You have experience in API, developer tools, AI infrastructure, cloud, creative tooling, or applied AI products.
- You understand how technical teams evaluate APIs: quality, latency, cost, reliability, docs, integration effort, and business impact.
- You are technical enough to discuss model workflows, inference, APIs, fine-tuning, base models, evals, and production constraints.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity, fast cycles, high standards, and direct founder collaboration.
- You can move between outbound, sales, partnerships, product marketing, customer success, and strategy without needing a rigid playbook.
Ideal background
- Experience in AI infrastructure, developer platforms, API sales, model platforms, cloud infrastructure, or technical partnerships.
- Experience selling to or partnering with startups, developers, product teams, or technical founders.
- Track record of turning early customer conversations into revenue, references, product direction, or ecosystem momentum.
- Bonus: experience with ecosystems like fal, Replicate, Hugging Face, Modal, RunPod, Together, Fireworks, DigitalOcean, AWS, or similar platforms.
- Bonus: experience with developer relations, product-led growth, marketplace partnerships, or founder-led sales.
