WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As the Facilities Maintenance Technician, responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
- Conduct regular cleaning & facility maintenance/repair tasks (i.e., electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing etc.)
- Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders.
- Perform weekly/monthly maintenance on production machinery and equipment as outlined by ERP System.
- Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces.
- Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
- Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals.
- Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
- Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions.
- Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facility’s needs.
- Build and repair custom formboards to specifications.
- Operate and maintain forklift and scissor lift.
- Work to improve 5S across shop floor. Provide input and implement action items.
- Identify and work to resolve any safety issues inside and outside of building.
ABOUT YOU:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- 7+ years of maintenance experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Competent in using hand and electrical tools.
- Ability to read technical manual and drawings.
- Ability to plan and manage facility maintenance projects and drive safety initiatives.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Physical stamina and dexterity.
- Forklift and Scissor lift experience/certifications required.
PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to maintain equipment maintenance records in ERP system.
- Ability to keep equipment and facilities in proper working condition and maintained following manufacturer’s instructions.
- Ability to work with ISC personnel to keep all tools and gauges in calibration.
- Ability to work with production leads to ensure no customer impact due to equipment or machinery failures.
- Troubleshooting Skills — Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
- Critical Thinking Skills — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads.
- Maintain a safe work environment and resolve issues quickly.
