Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Phlebotomist role based in Bengaluru. The Phlebotomist will collect blood and other specimens from patients in accordance with established protocols, ensuring accurate labeling, proper handling, and safe storage for transport. Daily responsibilities include verifying patient identity, explaining procedures clearly, maintaining infection control and safety standards, and using appropriate equipment and techniques to minimize discomfort. The role also involves completing necessary documentation, coordinating with laboratory and logistics teams, and supporting sample tracking and cold chain requirements. The Phlebotomist will contribute to a high level of patient care, professionalism, and service quality in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Strong blood collection skills, including venipuncture and capillary sampling, with consistent adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
- Proficiency in laboratory skills such as specimen handling, labeling, storage, and basic pre-analytical procedures.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medicine relevant to phlebotomy, including understanding of test requirements and patient conditions.
- Experience in medical assisting, including patient preparation, vital sign observation, and collaboration with clinical and laboratory staff.
- Relevant certification or diploma in phlebotomy, medical laboratory technology, or a related healthcare field.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and integrity in handling patient information and samples.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered, professional approach.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to high-volume, on-site healthcare environments.
