The Philharmonie Luxembourg, one of the leading concert halls in Europe, opened in 2005 and presents approximately 400 concerts annually, encompassing a wide range of genres such as classical, jazz, and world music. In addition, the institution offers an extensive educational program of the highest quality tailored for young audiences, participants and schools. The Philharmonie Luxembourg is responsible for the management of the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra.


Position

The Education department organizes, produces and promotes approximately 200 performances for young audiences per season, alongside thematic festivals and a diverse range of participation, learning and community music programs.

 

Mission

  • You independently manage concert productions for young audiences. This includes tasks such as organizing and managing production logistics, planning travel and rehearsals, drafting and administering contracts, communicating with artists, agencies, and partners, and ensuring smooth execution of the events
  • You design and implement school initiatives, workshops and participatory music education projects
  • You work closely with the Senior Manager of the education department to support and contribute to various music education initiatives and strategic goals

 

Profile

  • Academic qualifications in a relevant field such as project/arts/music management, musicology or music education
  • Prior experience in project management within music education or the performing arts
  • Strong organizational skills, with a sense of responsibility, reliability, and a positive, professional work ethic
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Passion for music education and high motivation to contribute to the success of the education program
  • Fluency in at least two of the following languages: German, French and English
