About the Role:
EditPi is looking for PhD-level subject experts to support advanced academic and research projects in artificial intelligence, IoT cybersecurity, intrusion detection, malware detection, deep learning, explainable AI, and trustworthy machine learning.
The selected expert will assist with research manuscript writing, technical editing, literature review, methodology development, result interpretation, journal formatting support, and publication-oriented manuscript improvement for Scopus/SCI-indexed journals.
Required Expertise:
- PhD or advanced research experience in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Network Security
- Strong subject knowledge in IoT network security, intrusion detection systems, malware detection, and AI-based cybersecurity
- Experience with deep learning, machine learning, explainable AI, interpretable ML, and trustworthy AI
- Familiarity with cybersecurity datasets such as CTU-IoT-Malware, Edge-IIoTset, Bot-IoT, TON_IoT, CIC-IDS, NSL-KDD, or similar datasets
- Ability to develop technically sound, publication-ready manuscripts for Scopus/SCI-indexed journals
- Strong academic writing skills, originality, and ability to maintain proper citation style
- Experience with Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, scikit-learn, SHAP, LIME, or similar tools will be preferred
Responsibilities:
- Prepare manuscript outlines and topic frameworks
- Develop or revise original research manuscripts
- Strengthen research gap, novelty, methodology, proposed framework, results, discussion, and conclusion
- Review recent literature and add relevant references
- Improve technical accuracy, academic tone, and publication quality
- Support journal formatting, cover letter preparation, and response to reviewer comments when required
- Maintain confidentiality and follow EditPi quality standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD completed or near completion in a relevant field
- Prior Scopus/SCI publications in AI, cybersecurity, IoT security, intrusion detection, or explainable AI
- Experience in academic writing, manuscript development, peer review, or journal submission support
- Ability to handle freelance projects with clear timelines and quality standards
