Role Description
The PhD Candidate in Civil Engineering will actively contribute to research projects, literature reviews, data collection, and analysis. Responsibilities include experimentation, preparing reports, authoring research papers, and presenting findings at conferences. Students will engage with faculty members and collaborators to enhance innovative civil engineering solutions. This is an internship position, and the role is located on-site in Kolkata.
Qualifications
- Research skills including literature reviews, data collection, analysis, and report writing
- Technical proficiency in civil engineering principles, software applications, and experimental methods
- Strong academic writing and presentation skills, with experience in publishing or contributing to research papers
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teams, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and manage deadlines
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field, with a strong interest in pursuing further research
- Experience with project tools/software such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, or other relevant tools is advantageous
- Knowledge of sustainable development principles in civil engineering and familiarity with industry trends is beneficial
