Job Description – Pharmacy Manager
Position: Pharmacy Manager

Reports To: Management / Director – Operations
About the Role
Afaq Multispeciality Clinics is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Pharmacy Manager to lead and manage pharmacy operations across our three clinic branches. The role involves complete ownership of retail (roadside) pharmacy establishment and operations, in-house pharmacy management, inventory control, statutory compliance, sales growth, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate should possess strong operational expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to build efficient pharmacy systems that ensure excellent patient service while maximizing profitability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Multi-Branch Pharmacy Operations
- Manage and oversee pharmacy operations across all three Afaq Multispeciality Clinics.
- Ensure standardized SOPs and operational excellence across every branch.
- Conduct regular branch audits and performance reviews.
- Monitor daily pharmacy operations, customer service, and workflow efficiency.
2. Retail (Roadside) Pharmacy Establishment
- Lead the planning, setup, and successful launch of roadside retail pharmacy outlets.
- Coordinate licensing, approvals, vendor onboarding, infrastructure, and operational readiness.
- Develop SOPs for retail pharmacy operations.
- Ensure smooth integration with clinic services while driving independent retail business.
3. In-House Pharmacy Management
- Oversee complete functioning of in-house pharmacies.
- Ensure uninterrupted medicine availability.
- Coordinate with doctors regarding formulary planning and medicine requirements.
- Optimize dispensing processes for patient convenience and compliance.
4. Inventory & Supply Chain Management
- Maintain optimum inventory levels across all branches.
- Monitor stock movement, expiry tracking, near-expiry management, and wastage control.
- Ensure timely procurement and replenishment.
- Negotiate with pharmaceutical distributors and vendors for competitive pricing and better commercial terms.
- Minimize stock losses and improve inventory turnover.
5. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Drive pharmacy sales and profitability across all locations.
- Increase prescription conversion rates.
- Plan promotional activities and product campaigns.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
- Identify new revenue opportunities and improve business performance.
6. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy regulations and statutory requirements.
- Maintain valid licenses and mandatory documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Drugs & Cosmetics Act, Pharmacy Council norms, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare the pharmacies for regulatory inspections and audits.
7. Team Management
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate pharmacy staff.
- Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate staffing.
- Conduct regular training on customer service, product knowledge, compliance, and SOPs.
- Build a high-performance, accountable pharmacy team.
8. Financial Management
- Monitor daily sales, cash collections, billing accuracy, and profitability.
- Control operational expenses without compromising service quality.
- Analyze financial reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Achieve monthly revenue and profitability targets.
9. Systems & Technology
- Ensure efficient utilization of pharmacy software and inventory management systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory and sales records.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Support digital initiatives including e-prescriptions, online medicine orders, and CRM integration where applicable.
10. Quality & Customer Experience
- Ensure accurate dispensing and medication safety.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction standards.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Continuously improve pharmacy service quality and operational efficiency.

- Sales and revenue growth across pharmacy operations.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Diploma in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / D.Pharm).
- Valid Registered Pharmacist License.
- Additional certifications in pharmacy management or healthcare administration will be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of pharmacy management experience.
- Experience managing multiple pharmacy outlets is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in retail pharmacy setup and operations.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.
