Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Mumbai. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing prescription medications accurately, checking dosages, and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include counseling customers on proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions, while maintaining patient confidentiality. The role involves verifying prescriptions, managing inventory levels, checking expiry dates, and ensuring proper storage of medicines. The Pharmacist will also collaborate with other team members to maintain high standards of customer service, manage billing and documentation, and support periodic audits and compliance checks.
Qualifications
- Recognized degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or M.Pharm) and valid pharmacist registration/license as per local regulatory requirements.
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications, dosage calculations, drug interactions, and standard pharmacy practices.
- Ability to provide clear, empathetic medication counseling and maintain accurate patient and prescription records.
- Experience with pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, stock rotation, and maintaining compliance with storage and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy or retail management software, billing systems, and basic computer applications.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to maintaining regulatory and ethical standards.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Prior experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting in Mumbai or similar metropolitan area is an advantage.
