Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Pharmacist Assistant located in Canada/ Australia. The Pharmacist Assistant will assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, manage pharmacy inventory, and ensure proper labeling and documentation of prescriptions. Responsibilities also include providing quality customer service, addressing customer queries, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Additionally, the role involves assisting in compounding prescriptions, organizing pharmacy supplies, and adhering to regulatory compliance in all pharmacy operations.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations, including dispensing medications and understanding pharmaceutical practices
- Experience in assisting pharmacy technicians with prescription compounding and handling medicines
- Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with clients and provide assistance in a professional manner
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and adherence to regulatory guidelines
- Ability to multi-task, handle sensitive information with confidentiality, and work collaboratively in a team setting
- Certification or diploma in pharmacy assistance or a related field is an asset
- Proficiency in English; additional language skills are an advantage
- Prior experience in a healthcare or pharmacy environment is preferred
