Job Description: PGT Social Science Teacher
Location: Perumbakkam, Chennai
Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹40,000 per month (Based on experience and qualifications)
Role Summary
A reputed CBSE School in Perumbakkam, Chennai is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable PGT Social Science Teacher to handle senior classes. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge and the ability to make Social Science engaging through interactive and concept-based learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Social Science subjects as per CBSE curriculum guidelines
- Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials
- Conduct assessments, assignments, and periodic tests
- Encourage analytical thinking and conceptual clarity
- Prepare students for board examinations and academic assessments
- Maintain classroom discipline and positive learning environment
- Track student progress and maintain academic records
- Participate in school academic planning and meetings
- Support co-curricular and academic activities
Skills & Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Science / History / Geography / Political Science / Economics
- B.Ed mandatory as per CBSE norms
- Experience teaching Senior Secondary Classes preferred
- Strong subject knowledge and teaching skills
- Good communication and classroom management abilities
- Basic computer and smart board handling skills preferred
