Role Description The PGT Information Practices role is a full-time, on-site position based at Sanskar Educational School in Ghaziabad. The educator will plan and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons in Information Practices for senior secondary classes, ensuring clear conceptual understanding of topics such as databases, programming fundamentals, data management, and IT applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching theory and practical sessions in the computer lab, assessing student progress through assignments and examinations, and maintaining accurate academic records. The role involves guiding students in project work, encouraging analytical thinking, and integrating hands-on activities and discussions into classroom teaching. The PGT will also participate in staff meetings, parent interactions, school events, and continuous professional development to support the school’s academic and co-curricular objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong subject knowledge in Information Practices, Computer Science fundamentals, databases, and basic programming concepts.
- Proficiency in classroom teaching, lesson planning, and student assessment for senior secondary (Grade XI–XII) learners.
- Ability to conduct practical sessions in a computer lab, including guiding students in projects and hands-on activities.
- Effective communication skills, classroom management, and a learner-centered teaching approach.
- Commitment to nurturing values, independent thinking, and social responsibility among students.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with B.Ed. preferred as per C.B.S.E. norms.
- Prior experience teaching Information Practices or Computer Science at senior secondary level is highly beneficial.
- Comfort with educational technology platforms, digital resources, and continuous professional learning.
