Role Description The PGT Geography role is a full-time, on-site teaching position based in Lakhimpur. The educator will plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons for senior classes, ensuring alignment with the prescribed curriculum and examination requirements. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching both Physical and Human Geography concepts, assessing student progress, and maintaining accurate academic records. The role also involves guiding learners in projects and practical activities, participating in school events, collaborating with colleagues on academic initiatives, and supporting the overall development and well-being of students.
Qualifications
- Strong subject knowledge in Geography, including Physical Geography and Human Geography.
- Effective Communication skills for classroom instruction, student interaction, and collaboration with parents and staff.
- Qualified Teacher with relevant degrees (e.g., Bachelor’s/Master’s in Geography along with B.Ed or equivalent teaching qualification).
- Experience teaching senior school students, preferably at the PGT level, with familiarity in board examination patterns.
- Ability to design lesson plans that integrate activities, projects, and assessments to support diverse learning needs.
- Comfort with using basic educational technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning.
- Strong classroom management skills and a learner-centered approach that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
