Role Description The PGT Economics role at Ram Ratna Vidya Mandir is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The educator will plan and deliver engaging Economics lessons for senior secondary classes, ensuring alignment with the prescribed curriculum and examination requirements. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching core economic concepts, assigning and evaluating classwork and homework, and providing timely feedback to learners. The role involves designing assessments, maintaining accurate student records, and tracking academic progress. The teacher will also guide students in applying economic theories to real-world situations, support exam preparation, and participate in faculty meetings, parent interactions, and school events as required.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Economics and Health Economics, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
- Proficiency in Economic Modeling and Statistics to demonstrate data-driven economic analysis and real-world applications.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills for interpreting economic data, evaluating case studies, and guiding students in critical thinking.
- Postgraduate degree in Economics or a closely related discipline, with a recognized teacher education qualification (e.g., B.Ed.) preferred.
- Prior experience teaching Economics at the senior secondary level and familiarity with relevant board curriculum and examination patterns.
- Effective classroom management, clear communication skills, and the ability to use educational technology and digital resources in teaching.
- Commitment to inclusive, student-centered pedagogy and willingness to engage in co-curricular and school development activities.
