Position Title: PGT Economics
Work Timings: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Reporting To: Academic Coordinator / Principal
Commerce: Business Studies, Economics
Position Overview
The PGT Teacher will be responsible for teaching Classes 11 and 12, Economics. The role requires strong subject expertise, effective online teaching skills, and the ability to prepare students for board examinations through engaging, concept-driven instruction aligned with CBSE/NIOS guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver in-depth, subject-specific instruction for Classes 11 and 12 as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Plan, prepare, and implement structured lesson plans, assignments, projects, and assessments.
- Prepare students for CBSE board examinations using effective academic strategies
and exam-oriented teaching.
- Create and utilize digital teaching materials, including presentations, videos,
worksheets, quizzes, and case studies.
- Conduct online classes using virtual teaching platforms and ensure active student
engagement.
- Monitor student performance, maintain academic records, and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
- Encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, and application-based learning.
- Participate in academic planning, curriculum development, professional training, and parent-teacher meetings.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teacher training qualification.
- Must have qualified CTET / State-level TET (as per institutional norms).
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level preferred.
- Strong command of English with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to teach effectively in an online learning environment.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in online teaching platforms such as Zoom, Google Classroom, MS Teams, or LMS tools.
- Skilled in creating digital academic content (PPTs, videos, worksheets, online tests,
polls, and breakout sessions).
