Location: Gurgaon / Mumbai
We are looking for an experienced Petroleum System Modelling (PSM) Professional with strong domain expertise in basin modelling, hydrocarbon generation analysis, and subsurface evaluation for upstream oil & gas projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Petroleum System Modelling (1D/2D/3D) studies for exploration and development projects.
- Analyze basin evolution, source rock maturity, migration pathways, and hydrocarbon charge.
- Integrate geological, geophysical, and petrophysical data for subsurface interpretation.
- Conduct risk assessment and prospect evaluation for exploration opportunities.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including geologists, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and modelling workflows.
- Support exploration strategy and field development planning.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in Petroleum System Modelling tools.
- Good understanding of basin analysis, geochemistry, and structural geology.
- Experience in hydrocarbon migration and reservoir evaluation.
- Knowledge of upstream E&P workflows.
- Strong analytical and interpretation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
- Experience working on offshore/onshore exploration projects preferred.
