Perplexity is seeking a Senior Authentication Engineer to join our innovative team revolutionizing internet search and interaction. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and scaling of authentication systems that power our web and mobile products, ensuring secure and seamless user experiences across our platform.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain robust authentication systems for our Next.js-based web applications
Architect and develop secure, scalable authentication flows incorporating various providers (e.g., OAuth, email/passwordless)
Collaborate with front-end, back-end, mobile and security teams to integrate authentication seamlessly across our application stack
Troubleshoot and resolve complex authentication issues
Implement and maintain best practices for user authentication, authorization, and security
Optimize authentication performance and user experience
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in authentication technologies and security standards
Designing and implementing ACLs for customer-specific permissions and resource management
