Role Description
This is an unpaid internship for a PERN Stack Developer Intern, offered as a remote opportunity. The intern will collaborate with the development team to contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of web-based applications using PostgreSQL, Express.js, React, and Node.js. Responsibilities include writing clean and scalable code, debugging software, creating user interfaces, and contributing to database management. The intern will also work closely with the team to optimize system performance and ensure excellent usability.
Qualifications
- Backend Development Skills: Proficiency in Node.js and Express.js for server-side development.
- Frontend Development Skills: Familiarity with React for building dynamic and responsive user interfaces.
- Database Management: Knowledge of PostgreSQL along with basic database design and query optimization.
- Version Control: Experience using Git for version control and collaboration.
- Debugging and Testing: Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues, and perform debugging and unit testing as needed.
- Team Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment remotely.
- Additional Assets: Familiarity with deployment processes, knowledge of RESTful APIs, and an interest in digital innovation and creative strategy can be advantageous.
