Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with experience in Perl scripting and database technologies to join a healthcare technology project. The candidate will be part of an Agile development team responsible for application development, rule migration activities, production support, and enhancement of existing systems. The role requires strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance software components using Perl and database technologies.
- Participate in rule migration and healthcare application development initiatives.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug existing systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Design and implement scalable solutions and recommend technology improvements where applicable.
- Write, test, deploy, and support production-ready code.
- Collaborate with Technology, Product, and cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Follow Agile development practices and actively participate in Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure adherence to Definition of Done (DoD), including:
- Unit Testing
- Functional Testing
- Code Reviews
- Bug Fixes
- Documentation
- Best Coding Practices
- Provide production support and timely resolution of application issues.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in Perl scripting.
- Good knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
- Experience with relational database technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Java development.
- Experience with Microservices architecture.
- Experience in production support and monitoring tools.
- Prior experience in healthcare domain projects is an added advantage.
