Happy to present a Perfumer role with a leading global fragrance manufacturing company
Designation: Perfumer
Location: Mumbai
Working days: Monday - Friday
Reporting To: Creative & Technical Head, Fragrances
Role Overview
The role will be responsible for creating and developing fragrances aligned with client briefs, market trends, and regulatory standards across categories. The role requires strong creative skills, technical knowledge, and close collaboration with evaluators, sales, and application teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Create and develop innovative fragrances as per client briefs across categories.
• Modify and optimize fragrances based on evaluator, consumer, and client feedback.
• Manage multiple briefs simultaneously while adhering to timelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with Evaluators during creative sessions and fragrance selection.
• Participate in proactive creative and smelling sessions.
• Incorporate consumer insights from CLTs, HUTs, and in-house panels into fragrance development.
• Ensure fragrances meet IFRA guidelines, internal regulatory norms, and cost targets.
• Work with application and regulatory teams to ensure performance and stability.
• Support Sales and Evaluation teams during client presentations when required.
Other requisites:
- Should be able to prioritize and deliver customer projects in time for successful commercialization.
- Closely co-ordinate with global headquarters and manage internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently under tight time schedules.
- Manage the interdependencies between different functions production/sales etc.
Qualification & Skill sets:
- 5+ years of experience in creating fragrances for a broad range of cosmetic & personal care products, Car Care, Home Care, Soaps & Detergents, fine fragrances category.
- Strong understanding of sensory science to include different methodologies.
- Encapsulation of fragrances.
- Good communication skills
