Job Description
- Strong understanding of performance testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in Apache JMeter, including advanced scripting techniques, distributed testing, and custom plugin development.
- Knowledge of various application architectures (e.g., microservices, client-server) and underlying technologies (e.g., databases, message queues).
- Ability to analyze system logs, identify root causes of performance issues, and propose solutions.
- Defining performance test strategies, objectives, and metrics based on business requirements and application architecture.
- Developing comprehensive performance test plans, including workload modeling, test data preparation, and environment setup.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining robust performance test scripts using Apache JMeter for web applications, APIs, and other system components.
- Executing various types of performance tests, such as load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests, using JMeter.
- Configuring and optimizing JMeter test plans for efficient resource utilization and accurate simulation of user behavior.
- Analyzing performance test results to identify bottlenecks, performance degradation, and areas for optimization.
- Utilizing monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk,Splunk Observability) alongside JMeter to gather comprehensive performance data.
- Creating detailed performance reports, presenting findings, and providing actionable recommendations to development and operations teams.
- Good to have basic understanding of GCP, how to access GCP console and verify CPU and Memory graphs.
